Morrison Water Services Millennium Main team awarded Gold in Thames Water’s Project Pride Awards

We’re celebrating our Millenium Main team who have been awarded Gold in Thames Water’s Project Pride Awards!

The Project Pride Awards recognise three levels of excellence, where a project team has met the requirements. Gold is the highest level of recognition and following our audit on site, we were awarded for our efforts in managing health & safety, wellbeing, environmental sustainability, professionalism and excellence in our project.

Our Millennium Main team has been working to install liner units over 1.6km of pipeline under the streets of Lewisham in southeast London.

High risk excavations, temporary works and confined space works are a daily occurrence for our team, with most of the works taking place inside shafts up to 10m and within the 1000mm main.

We have a full-time confined space rescue team on site, who frequently take part in mock rescue drills, working to being prepared to keep our team safe on site. We’re extremely proud of what our site team have achieved to keep everyone safe on such a complex high-risk project.

Nigel Butler, Contract Director at Morrison Water Services, said: “ I’m delighted that our team at Millenium have received a Project Pride Award. The way the team have showcased exceptional consideration to Health and Safety, environment and the local community sets the bar for other projects. Well done to all the team!”
