Morrison Water Services supporting Yorkshire-based children’s hospice

23rd March 2022

Morrison Water Services’ Yorkshire team is pleased to announce that it has launched a partnership with Martin House Children’s Hospice.

Martin House is a children’s hospice in Boston Spa, Leeds, supporting babies, children and young people with life-shortening conditions, as well as their families. Martin House relies almost entirely on voluntary donations and fundraising to provide the required care and support to over 440 children and young people.

Kerry Barton, Head of Customer Service at Morrison Water Services, commented: “We have provided charitable donations to Martin House in the past, so it gives me great pleasure for us to now be involved as an official partner. Morrison Water Services prides itself on social value, so giving support to such a worthy local organisation as Martin House really does sit close to our hearts.

“The added pleasure is being able to closely see the difference Martin House makes to so many children and their families. It is extremely rewarding to know that our support will play a critical role in Martin House providing their care and support. It really is an honour to be part of and we can’t wait to start our fundraising events and volunteering days.”

Abi Proctor, Partnership Manager at Martin House Children’s Hospice, said: “We are thrilled with Morrison Water Services as they pledge to raise £10,000 for babies, children and young people with life-limiting conditions. As a business, Morrison Water Services has demonstrated that it is committed to supporting the communities it serves, and this newly formed partnership with Martin House Children’s Hospice is a perfect example of this. Martin House was close to the hearts of everyone working on the Yorkshire Water contract as they look forward to a year of diverse fundraising challenges and events.”
