John joined Morrison Utility Services in 2012 as a Contract Director and was appointed Managing Director of the Water Division which includes Morrison Water Services in April 2021. John has spent 20 years in the utility sector working on traditional and alliance/joint venture contracts across the water, gas and telecom sectors. John has a DMS from Manchester Business School and has an MSc in Strategic Change Management. John is also a member of IGEM.
Lawrence rejoined Morrison Utility Services in 2017 as a Contract Director and was appointed Executive Director in January 2020. Lawrence has worked in the construction industry for over 30 years with the majority of those spent in the water sector. He has a post graduate Diploma in Management Studies and is a Chartered Civil Engineering Surveyor.
Scott joined Morrison Utility Services in 2019, after a career spanning over 20 years in the Regulated Water Sector with United Utilities and Cymru Welsh Water, in which he held senior Leadership and Technical positions across Water Distribution, Treatment and Support Services. Scott has extensive experience in working on Traditional and Alliance contracts across the water market and he was appointed as the Executive Director for Water (North) in January 2021, responsible for our Water Contracts and Business’ in the Northern Area. Scott holds a General Management Diploma from Cranfield University.
David joined Morrison Utility Services in 2011 and was appointed as Executive Director for Morrison Water Services, Scotland, in 2021. His key responsibilities are safe delivery of the diverse portfolio in Scotland and ensuring the continued growth and development of the business in the region. David has over 32 years’ experience in all aspects of the water industry and a degree in Civil Engineering.
Tim joined Morrison Utility Services in March 2009 having previously worked for a number of the UK's leading and largest utility service providers and now is Business Development Director for Morrison Water Services following the M Group Services restructure in April 2021. He is responsible for business development and a broad range of associated activities for MWS, while also having an active role engaging Water Division sister companies where they can add value to clients. Tim has a BSc degree in civil engineering, Diploma in Marketing and significant experience in water & wastewater bid activity, marketing and associated functions, he has a particular interest in customer service and innovation.
James is the Finance Director for the Water Division which includes Morrison Water Services. With a background in commercial and contractual finance, he has amassed over 10 years of experience. James aims to develop a strong finance team that is seen as core to helping MWS organically grow its bottom line and margins. Away from the business, James is married with 2 young children, spending any spare time playing or watching an array of sports.
Rachel joined M Group Services and the Water Division in 2020. Rachel’s HR career spans over 20 years, across a number of sectors, including professional services, financial services and the rail industry, in the UK and overseas. Most recently, Rachel was at Deloitte in a senior HR role working with the Audit & Assurance practice. Rachel is a member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel & Development.
Steve joined Morrison Utility Services as the Group SHEQ Manager in 2016. He took post as the Head of SHEQ for the Morrison Water Services business in 2020 and is now the SHEQ Director for the Water Division. Steve has been involved in construction and utilities for over 40 years and brings over 15 years’ experience as a SHEQ professional. Steve is absolutely passionate about ensuring the health, safety and wellbeing for all of the employees and our contractors is the number one priority across the Water Division.
Phil joined Morrison Utility Services in 2020 as a Regional Commercial Director and has subsequently been appointed Morrison Water Services Divisional Commercial Director in November 2021.
Phil has gained over 33 years experience in contracting training as a quantity surveyor and then progressing to senior management roles in both a commercial and operational capacity. Working for large International Contractors, National Contractors and Specialist Subcontractors provides a broad spectrum of understanding of the commercial needs of the business as well as being able to provide strategic support for the Division. As a MRICS chartered quantity surveyor, Phil is keen on the mentoring and development of personnel providing them with developmental support to allow them to achieve a great career in a rewarding industry.
Andy joined the business in March 2010 to identify, develop and implement innovative solutions and process improvements to support growth, to improve efficiency. He is a qualified Civil Engineer with an Executive MBA. Andy and his team have supported numerous tenders, contract mobilisations and business improvement initiatives and they are also the primary point of contact for changes to our IT systems.
In 2018 Andy took on additional responsibility for IT and Innovation; creating a combined and collaborative team under the ‘Intelligent Solutions’ banner. Working closely with our contracts to continuously improve our service offering, the Intelligent Solutions team facilitate the introduction of innovations via our Applied Innovation Model (AIM).
