Morrison Water Services recognised for safety innovation at DCWW Health & Safety Awards 2024

We are delighted to announce that our Welsh Water team has seen success at the Dwr Cymru Welsh Water (DCWW) Health & Safety Awards 2024.

The ceremony, hosted at Cymru Llandudno as part of DCWW’s Health, Safety and Wellbeing conference, saw our team receive the Operational Contractors Health & Safety Award for the use of innovative technology, Safe Dig AI.

This recognition highlights our commitment to the safety of our people, the public and our client.

Steve Gibbs, Area Director at Morrison Water Services, said: “We’re happy to win the DCWW award for Safe dig AI, but ultimately the real success is in delivering a safe environment for our teams, with a mapping process that assists in identifying high risk activities of our teams on the ground. This forms part of our continual improvement strategy in our approach to health & safety, which is resulting in improvements across our overall culture and leading indicators.”

Across the conference, attendees took part in five exciting workshops, including ‘Service Avoidance’, hosted by our team, in partnership with Envolve.
