The Women's and REACH Network celebrates its first year.

28th September 2022

In celebration of National Inclusion Week 2022, the M Group Services Water Division are holding their first ever Women’s and REACH (Race, Equality and Celebrating Heritage) Network Conference at the Holiday Inn, Coventry Lane, Birmingham.

With representatives from M Group Services, Morrison Water Services, PMP Utilities, ID Systems, I&C Process Solutions Ltd and IWJS, we celebrated the first anniversary of the Women’s and REACH Networks. We also took this opportunity to highlight 20 years of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics).

The day kicked off with a short introduction from Sarah Crickmay, Inclusion & Early Careers Manager for Morrison Water Services and Rachel Fayers – HR Director for the Water Division. Presentations then followed by Andy Carter, Business Services Director, Rachel Vincent, Contract Director for Morrison Water Services, (Dwr Cymru Welsh Water contract) and Benjamin Harrison, Programme Manager for Morrison Water Services (Thames Water contract) and the chair of the REACH Network.

Focus points of the day have surrounded the topic of Inclusion and Diversity. Discussions have been taking place around creating a sense of belonging in the workplace, personal development and mentoring, promoting key initiatives that are rolled out in the business, forming new strategies and actively encouraging inclusion for all.

We also highlighted the launch our STEM Ambassadors Network back in March this year and are delighted to see our teams interacting with passionate young people who are keen to learn more about STEM and our work. The Network also encourages ambassadors from across the Group to share ideas and experiences with one another.

Shaping our future leaders and encouraging our people to become STEM ambassadors is crucial to our business. If you would like to become a STEM ambassador, please click here to find out more.

Congratulations to the Women’s and REACH Network for organising this fantastic event and it was great to see everyone who attended.

Back to all.
